Managing gift cards doesn’t have to be a guessing game. Whether a customer is asking about a balance, or you need to verify if a card was actually sent, finding the details in the WordPress backend is straightforward.
Here is a quick, step-by-step guide on how to locate and verify gift card information in your WordPress dashboard.
Step 1: Navigate to the Marketing Dashboard
First, log in to your WordPress admin panel. On the left-hand sidebar, look for the Marketing tab.

Step 2: Access the Gift Cards Section
From the Marketing menu, select Gift Cards. This will open up the main management screen where all active and inactive gift cards are listed.

Step 3: Search for the Gift Card Code
You don’t need to scroll through pages of data. Locate the search bar at the top right of the list.
Type in the partial or full gift card code (for this example, we are using the snippet sxgg) and hit Enter.

Step 4: Open the Gift Card Details
Once the search results load, click on the specific Gift Card code (e.g., EG2K-SXGG) to open the detailed view.

Step 5: Verify the Information
You are now viewing the full “Activity” and details of the card. This is the most important screen for troubleshooting.
Here you can confirm:
- Recipient: Who the card was sent to.
- The Code: The full unique identifier.
- Date Issued: When the system generated the card.
- Purchaser: Who bought the card.
- Message: Any personal note attached to the gift.

Step 6: Check Balances and Associated Orders
On this screen, you can dig deeper into the financials of the card.
Issued Value: Confirm the original amount (e.g., $25.00).
Order Number: If you need to see the original transaction, you can click directly on the Order # link (shown in the “Order” column).

And that’s it! You have now successfully verified the gift card’s history and status.
